Tournament Details

The VGT Sandpiper Classic is dated Thursday, April 11th and is an 18-Hole stroke play Championship for male and female Professionals and Amateurs with 0-18 factor. There will be a Senior Flight for players 55 and over who choose to compete only in this flight for the year.

Full Field Size: 100 players
Professional Purse: $7,500 (based on 50 Pros).
First place: $1,500. Top 40% payout

Amateur Payout: Top Gross Scores in Championship Flight win prizes. The top overall Gross score and then top net scores in Flight A & B win prizes.

Eligibility
Open to all male and female VGT Professionals and Amateurs 0-18 factor. Priority will be given to Preferred Members in the Professional and amateur field. Basic members are eligible to play when field size is not full at time of Registration Deadline.

CLEVELAND GOLF/SRIXON CANADA Order of Merit

Order of Merit (OOM) points will be awarded in each category of membership (Professional & Amateur Championship - Gross; Flight A & B - Net; Senior (0-5) - Gross; Senior (6+) - Net). Both the Professional OOM and Amateur OOM’s will be based on the following point system for this event:

1st Place: 1500 pts 11th place: 200 pts
2nd Place: 1100 pts 12th place: 180 pts
3rd Place: 900 pts 13th place: 160 pts
4th Place: 800 pts 14th place: 140 pts
5th Place: 700 pts 15th place: 120 pts
6th Place: 600 pts 16th place: 100 pts
7th Place: 500 pts 17th place: 80 pts
8th Place: 400 pts 18th place: 60 pts
9th Place: 300 pts 19th place: 40 pts
10th Place: 250 pts 20th place: 20 pts

Course Details
Canadian golf course designer Russ Olsen has done an amazing job of taking advantage of the spectacular blue-green water and mountain vistas that surround Sandpiper Golf Club. This spectacular resort-style course provides golfers with constant variety and varying degrees of difficulty with breathtaking views. The par 72 course runs 6,500 yards from the black tees.
